I believe if you page back on this site, you'll eventually find a link that shows it cut in half, with each half towed via a long cable across the snow covered fields to where they were deposited on a flatbed and hauled away.
I remember watching that boat for over a month, wondering why the owner wasn't making any attempt to recover her. Originally, she was well off shore. Couldn't understand why the owner didn't float her free before she continued to be driven (over a 7-8 week interval?) more and more ashore.
Think she was ever put back together? I believe the owner was out of Chicago.
All that being said, I was suprised in that, weeks after she was run aground, her genoa, partially unfurled, main, everything, was still raised, wind tearing the Sh!t out of it. Eventually the sails were so much trash, hardware detroyed, etc.
The boat gave every appearance of simply being totally and completely abandoned. Just never understood that.
