Dudes! I spent more money on the lighter fluid, burning the damned insulation off the copper, than I got for the copper itself! I didn't get to buy any beer, much less a few 40's! I lost money on the deal! F'ing Zack! You owe me a reinbursement of $3.00 which I lost on this deal! And another $34.99 for the tearing of my new Levi's as I ripped them while scrambling over the fence. Call it an even $50.00.
On a real note, that's just plain crap that someone would do that to you. I'd suspect one of the smaller, ratty looking vessals in your area, to cheap to buy their own shore power cable. I was down there a few times over the weekend, hoping to spot you, as I've been trying to get some beer to you for when you rescued my vessal. Anyway, Every time I visually checked out your boat, but never saw anyone around it. For that matter, never saw anyone over there, period. 'Course, I'm not rigged for shore power, but suspect it would only take a second or four for the sh!t to have stolen it.
On a side note, I saw that we're going to have a BEAUTIFUL upcoming weekend, almost 60 degrees! I'm wrestling with whether to pull my boat or not, as this is about three weeks earlier than normal... but, man, the thought of submerging my arms, getting wet while changing the log out in 60 degrees, sure beats the idea of soaking myself in 35 degree weather.
Zack, give me a call? If you'd like to still sail for a couple of weeks, I've got a boat in the water... and you've got an empty slip? If it sounds good to you, I could then just put my stick in this weekend while warm, then transfer to your slip. Then we, and everyone else who'd be interested, grabs our favorite drink on the weekend, and does some cold weather sailing. Usually it's Everett and I sailing to about November 20th, November 24th, something like that.
