Was just down at Mckinley. There is a God! There has to be a hundred yards of OPEN water within the McKinley gap, already!!! My mooring just might become visible from under the ice in another week or two... maybe the launching ramp at the Round House free of ice as early as... say... end of the month? Oh, Baby! Come on! Melt!!!!!

If I weren't a (rightfully so) wimp and could trust the ise to support me, I'd go out there, chop it free and simply mount the mooring bouy NOW!!!!
