Hello All,

Jason Anderson here. Chris has done a great job generating some momentum with regard to sailing chatter here over the cold off-season.

I've been sailing out of Milwaukee since 2003 on a variety of boats from the Milwaukee Yacht Club, McKinley, and SSYC which is where I keep my 27' Hunter, Brave Heart.

We actually raced my boat this past summer in the Milwaukee Bay Off Shore Series, did fairly decent in the Queen's Cup (considering there were only 2 of us who have competed in overnight races before) and passed a lot of boats on Friday evenings in MAST racing.

I'm always up for some fun on the water, whether it's a Friday night Mast race, the Chi-Mac, a simple cruise around the bay with friends, or a charter trip some place warm with a convenient cove to drop anchor in.

Here's a pic of two of us after a great Friday evening MAST race:

Hello Jason glad to have you on the forum. I am another SSYC sailor. I crew on Wednesday nights and some weekendend races. I am hoping to do some overnight races this coming season.

The sailor responds to the subtle shifting of the wind, the imperceptible ebbing of the tide. He changes course. He trims his sheets. He sails.

Hi Wayne,

Always nice to meet another fellow SSYC sailor. What boat do you normally race on? I'm sure we must have crossed paths at some point, it's a small sailing scene here in Milwaukee!
