Hello! I'm starting my second season of sailing, and am hoping to get out on the water more. I sail at the MCSC and have a light air rating, but hope to bump that up to medium. If anyone is interested in sailing weekdays during the day and doesn't mind sailing with a newbie, let me know! I'm a married mom of 2 tweens and live in Waterford (western Racine County), about 45 minutes away. We're not even close to owning a boat yet. But I sure am having fun sailing!

Hey Jill - Welcome to the forum! Waterford's a great little town!

I won't be getting out as much as I want to this year, as my wife and I have a new baby. Thus far the other members here have been very generous with their boats and afford us the opportunity to go out when MCSC won't let us.. and venture further from the north gap area as well.

Welcome Jill. I'm a MCSC sailor too. I try to get out at about 3:00 a few afternoons a week. I'll post when I'm going. Please feel free to come on down.

Welcome aboard, Jill! Your enthusiasm for sailing is all that's needed to be an instant friend around here! Assuming the weather is worth it, I'll be out this weekend, Sat and Sun. Would you be interested in an outing on Sunday, say... early afternoon? Again, welcome.

Sorry for the late reply, Guy. Sadly, I can't make it at 3:15 any day this week; this last week of school has my family all running in different directions. Will you be going at the same time next week at all?

Jill and I met for a sail outing Saturday. Had hoped for another GUY... but he never responded to me

Anyway, gentlemen, now here's a classy Lady who is a class act! First off, I was very impressed! Said this was only the start of her second sailing season, but... very nice! Has a light and tender touch on the tiller. Really, I was impressed. I've known people who have sailed for several years and don't show the mild 'natural' touch which she displayed. Awesome conversationalist, had quite an enjoyable time chattering away at her, and, hey, she never once told me that I jabberred to much! Good Lord, who could ask for a better sailing partner?! Perhaps a touch of humor there as well... she caught me down on the low side pretty relaxed, and decided to bury my rail, getting me rather wet. Of course... she SAID it was by accident... but I don't know about that, LOL's! Jill, it was a pleasure meeting you, hope to see you about this summer.
