Bristol 27 For Sale

Real nice looking Bristol 27 for sale. Wish this would have been for sale when I was buying! In Chicago at Crowley's. Alberg design - cruising model with two main cabin settees. Great boat for a good price.

The Bristol 27 in particular? I think all they have is the cruising model and the dinette... could be wrong though.

Or are you looking for any kind of weekender? Typhoon, etc. I've seen a couple CD 25s in the relative vicinity..

That looks like it is in really good shape for the price.

Bristol 27 weekender. Ala ariel. Cockpit extends where the doghouse is on the boat you showed. Just a head and bunks below. I've seen a couple on the east coast, but none over this way.

Sounds like a Pearson Commander? I've never seen the Bristol 27 weekender. You really don't like those doghouses do you?

I realize I sail 200 hours a summer, only sleep on a boat 5 to 7 nights. Why use 80 percent of the boat for 15-20% of the use?

That's a good part of the 'why' I elected for the very low profile of Sushi, and the larger cockpit (at the expense of 2 feet of reduced cabin) rather than one of the models with a higher cabin overhead. First, I'm to tall, couldn't stand up in it anyway; secondly, a PITA trying to look around while sailing in the cockpit. Guess I like relaxed visibility.

The obvious answer? Inherit a lot of money and buy a larger boat that has it 'all'.

Thanks. I'll remind Sean it's just as easy to fall in love with a rich girl as a poor one. . .
