Hi guys, its been a while since I've posted.

Since spring is just around the corner I thought I'd offer to loan a couple of tools I've found useful in getting the boat ready for the summer.

I have a 6 hp pressure washer that does a great job getting the grime off. It's a pretty big machine so you'll need a pickup or van to pick it up. Offer a bite to eat and I'd be happy to deliver and help use it.

I finally found the moister meter thats been missing for a couple of years. It was neatly stored with my wood working tools.

I also have a buffer for getting that oxidation removed from the gell coat.

Finally, I have a Fein type multi-tool which does a great job sanding woodwork details.

All I ask is that the tools are returned. If they break while you're using them, I figure they'd have broken while I used them anyway so no harm/no foul.

Chris, if you are going to do any wiring on the new boat, I have a nice crimping tool that does a nice job with marine crimp connectors.

Thanks for the fantastic offer Al! I wish I were dry-docked here in MKE so I could take advantage of the pressure washer...

Gents,
I've also got one of those oil-changing gizmos that takes the oil out of the inboard by sucking it up a tube and into the container (instead of draining it out of the bottom). I believe I have all of the parts for it. If anyone needs to use it, just let me know.
I also have one of those manual Loos rigging tension gauges somewhere (might be "up north), but I'd be willing to loan that out for a period of time, too.

Thanks,
John

John, I'd be indebted to you if I could borrow that Loos gauge to check the rigging on Tursiops.

Chris, the pressure washer could possibly be tied down in the trunk of a car. It may be worth a try. Hook up a garden hose, start the Honda, and you're a cleaning machine.

I forgot to add, I have a Honda 2000 generator I use to charge the boats batteries while on the mooring. It's sitting in my basement now. Works great powering most portable tools. My buddy used it to power tools in the woods where he installed a few tree stands for hunting.

Al, I hope you keep me in mind for crew, if you decide to do the Queen's Cup again this year? (get my plug in first, this time!)

Al,
Let me locate the thing first before we plan a meet-up. I'm fairly certian I know where it is, but it may be a couple of weeks before I have it back in my hands. Sound good? When were you looking to have it?

Thanks,
John

John, there is no rush. I'd just like to check the rigging before fall. Deb and I have a pretty long trip planned for September and October. We hope to take Tursiops down to her new home in Florida.

Gary, I'd be happy to have you along should I decide to go. Last summer, I was of the "been there, done that" mindset but as the new sailing season approaches, I'm thinking more and more of doing it again and actually trying to SAIL across.
