If any of you have tried to send private messages, you'll have noticed by now that it isn't working. I started working on it last night, but then accidentally broke the whole website. If you tried to login at around midnight last night you will have noticed that too I'll continue to try and fix the issue... hopefully without any further major disruptions.

Did you get an error message - something to the effect of missing a field called 'replyid'?

Well, I have two (2) emails showing in Private messages, but no way to access them. Just an error message with some CPU gobbledy-gook jargon listed. Were they from you, testing? So, at least the blinking envelope LOOKS cool...

How do I/we fix? The below is what I get:

Thanks for the error message... It's not you. There's a problem with one of the tables. I had to add in a column for the previous error. I may whack the tables for this PM app and try reinstalling it altogether. That may be the only way to fix this altogether, rather than me patching it up as I have been doing.

Glad you at least got to see your inbox I'll take a look at it tonight and hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow.

Chris, not sure if you got around to taking a whack at it last night or not... but still no way to access my 'private messages'. So, hopefully those that sent them to me will understand why I have not, can not, as yet reply to them.

Chris, call me slow on the uptake, but... how is it possible that I have two (2) private messages blinking at me (from this site) in my 'inbox'... seeing as how the private messages is not working?

Well, that's an interesting question I had sent you two messages. It might have something to do with when you registered. If you registered after we moved to the new server, then your userid may have different parameters than those of the users from the old server.

I think I just have to blow away the private messaging tables in the database and reinstall it. This Statistics class has turned out to be a daunting class and I've been working on this homework assignment for 3 consecutive nights. That coupled with craziness at work has given me little time to fix this thing. I should be able to look at it this weekend.
