TOPIC: Sail Covers
#3025
Sail Covers 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 3
Recently I decided to stop repairing and finally replace my old mainsail cover. I found a couple of sources, but they wanted more than I wanted to pay for some pretty generic looking covers. Then I found leesailcovers.com/ which seems to be run by a Becky Randolph.

She sews custom covers to order. She was very helpful online and she has an I.M. gadget on her website for direct conversations when she's in her sewing room. I was able to get a new cover for my Ranger 26 for about $143, custom made. It fits great and seems to be the best quality sail cover I've ever seen.

I am so impressed that I'm trying to pass the word.

Todd, thanks for including the link. Just checked it out, and will file it away for future use.

Hey Gary, I found out from Scott (Dawn Treader) that he got an even better deal from Harkin by buying his own material and bringing it in. I don't know if that's a regular deal they offer but I have to admit to having not gotten the best deal in the marina.

So Scott is still around? I don't think I've seen him in a year or so. Did he ever get himself a mooring (where?)? I think last I chatted with him was shortly after he brought his boat to Milwaukee, and was looking. Think he ended up on a slip while searching for a mooring? Pretty nice guy, definately has a beautiful boat!
Saw yours of course. Boy, talk about white as the driven snow. Looks good. Nice to see your son again, even if just in passing.

Gary,
Scott's been on a mooring just WSW of me for a coupe of years. Last year he didn't get out much but he said he's been down quite a bit this year.

Hmm... must be close to me, as I'm (probably) SSW of you. Will have to 'buzz' him when I see him. Thanks.
